Caravans for Sale
This year promises to be a big one for the world of caravanning - huge shows and exhibitions, new lines of equipment and accessories, and an impressive range of used caravans for sale from the likes of Park Resorts.
One of the biggest announcements at the end of last year was the introduction of a new range of caravans from Bailey. Entitled ‘Retreat’, the selection of caravans is due to appear at the Motorhome, Caravan and Camping Show at London’s ExCel Centre in March.
Retreat has all the hallmarks of Bailey quality, but is markedly different from everything else on the market. For one thing, these are not touring ‘vans – they are too long to be towed – but instead must be sited professionally, on a seasonal pitch. Transport and installation costs will vary depending on the dealer, but once on a pitch, it runs in much the same way as a touring caravan – just with a little extra luxury and stability. Inboard water tanks, super pitch connectors, drainage and toilet operation, generators – all the usual facilities are here. The only difference between this range and a normal static caravan is the fact that all the facilities are onboard only, not plumbed into the pitch or hooked up to the mains. The Retreat models are expected to range between 15 and 25 thousand pounds.
The big event of the year is, as ever, the Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC. Taking place between 16th-21st October, the show hopes to build on the huge success of last year’s event, where over 350 exhibitors filled ten halls at the NEC. 60,000 visitors viewed new models from all the major manufacturers – although the announcement of the Bailey Retreat line was a little too late for inclusion. The show is the only caravan event to be fully supported by all of the leading market manufacturers.
With more and more people choosing to holiday on UK shores, caravanning is a great option to experience the very best of Britain without spending a fortune in accommodation costs.
